Middfest Week 2009 begins!
Middfest International 2009 – Celebrating Indonesia - October 2 - 4
Middfest International celebrated its 2009 Exhibit Opening and Artists Reception Sunday September 27th. Volunteers, friends and sponsors were able to see a sneak preview of exhibits with tours of the displays which were still under construction. The event culminated with an artists reception which included a fashion show featuring Indonesian clothing. This fashion show will be repeated on both Saturday and Sunday Middfest weekend.
This week there will be student tours of the exhibits in the city building. Middfest International performers will visit city schools to meet students and preview what will be seen at Middfest this year. The Middfest business exchange begins Wednesday with tours and meetings set for Indonesian business leaders leading up to Friday's Business Conference at the Manchester Inn. The conference will feature a luncheon with the Indonesian ambassador Sudjanan Parnohadiningrat who will also give the keynote address.

A premiere cultural event with dance, music and food from many countries throughout the world. Held annually in Middletown, Ohio, USA, Middfest has celebrated a different country each year since 1981.
